The story

The Katikies story began in Oia in 1987, when Nikos Pagonis opened his first small hotel on the caldera cliff. The first Katikies property, Katikies Villa, still has just seven rooms.

Katikies Santorini, today the group’s flagship, grew from a handful of rooms and a pool into a cascade of whitewashed Cycladic terraces, linked by steps and bridges and three infinity pools that seem to pour into the Aegean.

The hotel was refreshed in 2023 and now has 34 rooms and suites. Its fine-dining restaurant is run with Greek-Italian chef Ettore Botrini, and the family brand has grown into several Katikies hotels on Santorini and Mykonos.
