A beach resort on its own peninsula in Ornos Bay, named after a little chapel
- Private sandy cove
- 12 villas
- First Buddha-Bar Beach
- Families welcome
The story
Before it was a resort, this headland at the southern tip of Ornos Bay held a house, a windmill, a dovecote and a small chapel dedicated to Agia Marina, which gave the place its name. The windmill still stands in the grounds.
Over the years the resort grew into something that looks like a Mykonian village sloping down to the sea, on its own peninsula with a sandy cove. After a full redesign of its waterfront rooms in 2014, it opened the world’s first Buddha-Bar Beach.
Today Santa Marina is part of Marriott’s Luxury Collection, with 105 rooms and suites and 12 villas, some with up to seven bedrooms. A four-level Presidential Villa is due to open in June 2027.
